Tiger N81140 Paint Ideas

I'm bored with aircraft paint. Most of them all look the same. Many copy later versions of the same airplane, or freshen up the standard paint their airplane came with.

Yawn.

I wanted a decisive non-aircraft look. I like the ideas that I've seen in various touring cars around the globe and tried to copy some the schemes.

Try to imagine these ideas with the LoPresti Tiger GTO Cowl; it's being installed just prior to final painting.

Also, do me a favor and give me some feedback on your thoughts, even to the tiniest details. We're pretty much locked in on this design, but last minute details can be accomplished!

This was always our leading candidate. The red line breaks up the body height in half, and the diagnonal gives the airplane a forward-leaning "pouncing" stance. The checkers offset the "whiteness" of the rest airplane, giving it a decisive non-aircraft look. We think the design would still look good without the checkers, so if we get tired of it (or the next owner doesn't like it) the black vinyl can all be removed.

The wheel pants will have a smaller red-line theme, the horizontal stab and left wingtip will mirror the checkers and red lines, and the right wingtip will have checkers. Probably will put something on the belly to set it off as well; maybe a red stripe with more checkers? "Yippee!" has already been taken...

The white and red will be painted; our paint shop of choice of Flying Colors of Williston Florida (352-528-6484).
The checkers and N-number will be in vinyl, done by Bengie Phillips of Speedmaster Signs (706.324.SIGN), a longtime AYA supporter..

I stole the design from a Speedvision Touring Car that I like, driven by Michael Galati (http://www.racephoto.com/WC/mos99/19-1.jpg).
